Wednesday Religion and Race Program

The Conference Commission on Religion and Race will host a program, A Day of New Beginnings, which will be in Room 135 from 2 to 6 p.m.

A light meal consisting of fruits, cheese tray and crackers and cookies will be provided free of charge.

In order to have an estimated headcount, please indicate whether you will attend below. Should crowd exceed the size of the room, a change in rooms will be made to accommodate the crowd.

*Thursday Workshop

The 2017 Annual Conference will feature workshops aimed at helping the local church make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Four workshops, covering a wide array of practical skills for the disciple-making task, will be offered to lay, clergy and visitors to the Annual Conference during the noon recess on Thursday and Friday. The hour-long workshops will be offered immediately following the morning plenary sessions on Thursday and Friday and will run from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Box lunches will be available where participants can pick up their lunch and go directly to the workshop.

Choose the workshop of your choice if you choose to attend or choose "I do not plan to attend any workshop" if you do not plan to attend one of the nine sessions. The titles and the workshop leaders are listed below:

The Wesleyan Covenant Association (WCA) is hosting a breakfast on Thursday morning at 8 a.m., at Peoria First UMC, located 2 blocks from the convention center. 

Rev. Shane Bishop, board member for the WCA, will speak.

Breakfast is $5 and the event is open to all interested lay and clergy interested in the work and vision of the WCA in support of the global United Methodist Church in challenging times.
